Communication and Language
Communication and Language are possible for all children, regardless of hearing levels. The most critical part of successful communication and language development is choosing the most effective and accessible approach.
Deaf and hard of hearing children are unique in which they have several opportunities available to them. Depending on available resources and support, the whole family's involvement is key in the child's language development. This means the whole family would be able to communicate and model language to and around the child.
