Other Disabilities
Deaf and hard-of-hearing students may have other, or additional disabilities. These students need specialized support. In an educational setting, students with additional needs may need specialized assessments to help identify specific areas of need and could qualify for additional special education services. Assessment and IEP decisions will guide families and the school IEP team in designing the best educational plan.
