What happens to the deaf children who don't succeed in acquiring either spoken, written, or sign language skills that are sufficient for competent psychological functioning? This pre-conference workshop will look at the growing attention within the new field of Deaf Mental Healthcare to mental health work with deaf persons who have been severely language deprived.
Neil S. Glickman, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts who specializes in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy and deaf mental healthcare.
Cost for this session is $35 per participant.
