Epicbookworms strives to create lessons and materials to assist Deaf Ed teachers in their classrooms. Teachers spend a lot of time modifying materials that have been created for the general curriculum. Our goal is to provide those materials, so that teachers can focus on what they do best, teach.
If you have an idea for a lesson, or a suggestion for a book that you feel would be beneficial to yourself and other teachers across the state of Texas, please send an email to Twyla Loftin - firstname.lastname@example.org

"In today's classrooms, teachers are in much greater need of support. Paperwork, district requirements, team planning, etc takes up so much of their time. There is actually a decrease in the use of technology simply because of time constraints. Epic Bookworms gives teachers a tool to promote English literacy. It provides lesson plans, videos, and activities that will help teachers better meet the needs of students in a technology rich world, which will better prepare them for their future success."

"The Educational Resource Center on Deafness has an awesome new online resource for literature. I am very excited for the release of Charlotte's Web. The product offers a teaser video to build student's interest in reading the book, video discussion questions with built in pauses to use in the classroom, higher order thinking questions on a worksheet, and an interactive PowerPoint of new vocabulary per chapter that can also be done on paper. The lesson is well designed to build comprehension and vocabulary in an interesting way. We look forward to using this in our classrooms. I believe this will be a wonderful tool and timesaving teacher help."
